Eligibility
The candidates who have gone through the normal education pattern of 10+2+3/4+2 through regular, distance or online modes of learning with the following degrees shall be eligible to apply.
- MA in Christian Management (MACM) / MBA from a University / recognized Institute or an equivalent degree from a University / recognised Institute with (preferably) minimum two years of work experience.
- MTh from Serampore/ATA or any other recognised University or an equivalent degree.
- Candidates with any other Master’s degree from a recognized University.
- ACA, FCA, AICWAI, ACSI qualifications of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Provided the candidates have secured 55% or more marks in the aggregate in the qualifying degree examination from any recognized University.
Duration
The duration of the programme is calculated from the date of admission to the date of submission of the thesis.
- The minimum duration is three years
- The maximum duration is six years, but may be extended on approval by the Doctoral Committee

PhD Selection:
Please prepare the following to be submitted with your application form:
- Application forms, the essay, and the tentative research proposal.
- The candidates will be called to appear for an entrance test (online).
- Candidates who appeared for the entrance test will be called for an interview test (Online).
PhD Entrance Test and Interview
Entrance Test Instructions:

The candidates under category 1 or 2 or 3 of the UGC NET for admission to PhD are exempted from appearing the entrance test. However, they will be required to appear for the interview to present their research interest/area.

The candidates not any of the above category will be called to appear for an entrance test (online).
- The link for the entrance test will be sent to candidates 24 hours before the entrance test.
- The duration of the entrance test is 3 hours
The test will cover the following areas:
i. Communicative English
ii. Analytical skills
iii. Research methods
iv. Community orientation
Candidates who have qualified UGC- NET (including JRF) / UGC- CSIR NET (including JRF) / GATE/ teacher fellowship holder / MPhil programme (provided that MPhil has been completed within a maximum of three years from the last date of admission) will be exempted from Entrance Test. However, they will be required to appear for the interview to present their research interest/area.
Interview Instructions:
The Interview which is part of the selection process will be conducted online.
1. The link will be sent 24 hours before the scheduled interview time.
2. The duration of the interview for each candidate is 10 minutes.
3. The interview will cover the following topics:
i. Communicative English
ii. Analytical skill
iii. Research methods
iv. Community orientation
