Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong held a New Year’s meeting for all it’s faculty and non teaching staff on January 29, 2024.

The morning session started with a warm welcome from the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and Pro Chancellor of the University who collectively set the theme for the year, of embracing 2024 as a year of change, a year where Student and staff well-being will be at the centre of academics and ethos of the University.

Importantly, as the University continues to drive its initiatives towards the community while also gearing up to address the growing prominence of AI and online resources, the faculty and staff were recognized for their hard work and dedication over the years.

The afternoon session was filled with fun and learning as we welcomed Tim Blais, the renowned YouTuber, creator of A Capella Science! Tim joined us as a resource person for an informal and interactive session, sharing his experiences and insights. The audience were engaged in a lively discussion and enjoyed his unique blend of science and art.

The event was organized by the Academics office, MLCU and ended with a performance by the Department of Music, MLCU.
