Objectives
- To provide a forum that highlights the rich cultural heritage of tribal communities while also identifying strategies and policies that can be replicated
- To help create a platform for exchange of observations and experiences of relevant practitioners working on Tribal Development and Inclusivity
The sub themes of the seminar are stated below
- Traditional Governance and Development
- Development Policies and Tribal Interests
- Human Rights and Tribal Movements
- Women in Tribal Communities
- Land Rights and Protection
- Ecology and Indigenous People
- Tribal Family System and Values
- Preservation of Tribal Folktales, Music and Culture
- Healthcare Accessibility
- Entrepreneurship and Livelihood in Tribal Areas
Goal: The conference seeks deliberations on the questions of how to define tribal epistemologies and the steps to promote and protect distinct tribal cultures and identities
Call for Papers
Papers are invited from students, faculty and practitioners on any of the above sub-themes proposed
- The abstract should not exceed 250 words and it should include a Title, the author’s name, designation, affiliating institution, contact number and E-mail ID
- Abstract should be submitted via email to socialworkdept@micuniv.in with the subject “Abstract of Paper for National Conference”
- Once the abstract is received, it will be reviewed and the acceptance will be communicated within five days
- We propose to have online/in-person mode in oral as well as poster presentation. Only selected papers will be accepted for presentation and should be accompanied by a full length paper
- The length of full paper including tables, diagrams, illustrations, references, etc should not be more than 4000 to 5000 words. The full paper should be in English and typed in Ms-Word in Times New roman with font size 12
- Bibliographical references should be arranged alphabetically and given at the end of the text in the APA format only
