About the programme:

The MSc MLT in Clinical Biochemistry is an allied health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases through clinical laboratory tests. Medical laboratory professionals play a critical role in collecting the information needed to give the best care to an ailing or injured patient. Lab technologists are vital members of healthcare as the practice of modern medicine would be difficult without the tests performed in the laboratory. Clinical biochemists specialize in diagnostics and therapeutics using their knowledge of biochemical and physiological functions of the human body. Owing to the increasing awareness among the general masses about health and hygiene and the mushrooming healthcare facilities and hospitals, the demand for such trained professionals is ever increasing and the programmes contributes to the effort to bridge the gap between demand and availability of these professionals.
