The Khadi and Village Industries Commission sponsored a “People Education Programme” organized by the Meghalaya Social Development Society and hosted by Martin Luther Christian University on March 27th, 2023. The programme began with an introductory address by Shri Albinus Nongkynrih, President Meghalaya Social Development Society Shillong. This was followed by a speech on the role and duties of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ministry of Youth Affair and Sports towards the youth of our state by Shri Depankar Nande, NCERT Counsellor and Faculty Member, NYKS. A speech on different schemes and training for youths by District Commerce & Industries Centre was then given by Shri. Richard Nongbri, Industrial Promotion Officer, DCIC, Shillong. Sir S. Majaw, General Manager DCIC, Mr Randhir Kumar, State Bank of India, Prof. T. K Bamon, Vice Chancellor, MLCU and Shri. Mange Ram, Director Khadi Village Industries Commission, Shillong also shared their thoughts. Shri Desmond Thabah, Secretary, Meghalaya Social Development Society Shillong ended the programme with a vote of thanks.
